WHA Hosts Open House for Vinh University Faculty of Economics: Bridging Academic Learning with Real-World Industrial Experience

Nghe An, May 2025 – WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An was pleased to organize a comprehensive Open House program to welcome a delegation of 11 lecturers and over 100 students from the Faculty of Economics, Vinh University. The activity formed part of WHA’s long-term commitment to fostering partnerships with educational institutions and nurturing the next generation of economic professionals in the North Central region.

The day began with site visits to two major tenants operating within WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An. The first stop was Sunny Automotive Optech Vina Co., Ltd, a leading high-tech manufacturer specializing in optical lens modules for smartphones and electronic devices. Students had the opportunity to observe modern, automated production lines and learn directly from the company’s representatives about technological innovation, international supply chain integration, and the company’s impact on local job creation.


The visit offered valuable insights into how global companies adapt advanced manufacturing techniques in Vietnam’s growing industrial landscape.


The delegation then continued to Cypress Vietnam Footwear Limited, a subsidiary of Cypress Technology Group, renowned for producing smart AV equipment and electronic products. 


Here, students explored the company’s operations, including its quality control processes and logistics systems. The management team also discussed the critical role of workforce training and efficiency in maintaining export standards, providing a practical extension to topics taught in the university’s economics and business courses.

After the site visits, the delegation was warmly welcomed at WHA’s office, where a corporate presentation introduced the group to WHA’s operations across Southeast Asia, with a spotlight on its development in Vietnam. The session featured an overview of WHA Group’s green and smart industrial zone model, its strategic vision for infrastructure development, and the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and regional economic growth.


The Open House concluded with an engaging networking and Q&A session between the students and WHA representatives. Discussions covered a wide range of topics including career pathways, internship opportunities, and the expectations of industrial employers. WHA’s team also shared personal experiences and practical tips to help students better align their academic knowledge with the demands of a competitive labor market.
