WHA Industrial Zone 1-Nghe An Welcomes Goertek Precision Industry

Nghe An, October 19, 2020 – WHA Industrial Development Plc. (WHAID), a leading developer of industrial estates in Thailand and Vietnam, has announced the signing of a land agreement with Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam Company Limited, subsidiary of China-based Global Manufacturer of Smart Hardware and High-precision Components at WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An (WHAIZ 1-Nghe An). Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam, which specializes in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), purchased an area of 40.48 ha (253 rai) to develop their factory complex for the manufacturing of mobile phones’ electronic components, such as air pods.

Headquartered in Weifang, Shan Dong Province, China, and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. With a workforce of nearly 40,000 employees, Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam produces smart hardware and high-precision acoustic and optic components. The group’s clients comprise famous partner of major phone manufacturing companies in United States.

Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam just obtained its Investment Registration Certificate (IRC) from Vietnamese authorities on October 16. Construction work and industrial operations are expected to start in late 2020 and mid 2021 respectively.

Goertek Precision Industry Vietnam selected WHA Industrial Zone 1-Nghe An for its new investment due to WHA’s demonstrated customer reputation, its unique international leading infrastructure and utilities, as well as its smart ECO environment-friendly industrial zone solutions.
