WHA Investor Club Meeting #4: Strengthening Workforce Strategies Through HR Collaboration

Mar 13, 2025
On March 6, 2025, WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An successfully hosted the fourth edition of the WHA Investor Club Meeting, themed "HR Share & Connect." The event served as a collaborative platform where HR professionals from Kyungshin, FIT, Goertek, Koyu, Cypress, Sunny, Nakano Apparel, and Gia Nhật came together to share insights, address workforce challenges, and explore solutions for attracting and retaining talent in the industrial zone.

Fostering Dialogue & Finding Solutions

Kicking off the session, HR representatives introduced their companies and discussed their workforce needs and recruitment challenges. This open dialogue provided a valuable opportunity to exchange best practices and identify common issues, including talent retention, skill shortages, and recruitment difficulties.

During the meeting, HR representatives shared the current situation, differences, and solutions with one another, aiming to find a common understanding and work together to identify suitable solutions.

A key highlight of the meeting was the introduction of Resolution No. 40-ĐA/TU, an initiative aimed at enhancing labor market connectivity, job creation, and workforce stability in Nghe An from 2025 to 2030.

Key takeaways from the discussion included:
  • Labor market trends: The total number of people in need of employment in Nghe An is estimated at 60,000 – 70,000 per year.
  • Recruitment & retention challenges: Despite high hiring demand, many companies struggle to retain employees due to competition from better-paying jobs in other provinces and abroad.
  • Bridging the skills gap: The shift toward advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries requires a more skilled workforce, yet many local workers still lack specialized training.

Collaborating for a Stronger Workforce
Recognizing the need for practical solutions, WHA introduced several collaborative initiatives to support businesses in strengthening their workforce:
  • WHA Job Fair – April 2025: Co-organized by WHA, the Nghe An Economic Zone Authority, and Nghi Loc District, this event will serve as a crucial bridge between employers and job seekers, helping businesses build stronger talent pipelines.
  • HR Networking & Recruitment Platforms: To foster closer communication and streamline recruitment, WHA proposed:
    • WHA HR Club Zalo Group – A dedicated platform for HR representatives to exchange insights, discuss labor trends, and stay updated on workforce policies.
    • Public Job Recruitment Groups (Zalo & Facebook) – Open channels connecting businesses directly with job seekers, expanding access to potential candidates.

A Commitment to Workforce Development
The WHA Investor Club Meeting #4 concluded on a high note, with participants expressing strong interest in continued collaboration to enhance workforce stability and talent retention. By fostering an engaged HR community and introducing proactive workforce strategies, WHA reaffirms its commitment to supporting businesses and strengthening the labor market within its industrial zones.
