
Currently, the airport operates nine domestic routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Can Tho, Lam Dong, Kien Giang, Binh Dinh, Con Dao, Da Nang, and Buon Ma Thuot. It is set to complement Noi Bai International Airport and has already introduced international charter flights to Thailand, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. Plans are in place for its upgrade to an international airport by 2030.

Thanh Hoa Province features a well-developed road network, including the North-South Expressway, coastal roads, and major highways such as National Highway 1A and Ho Chi Minh Road. Key routes like Highways 47, 217, and 15C connect the province to Laos. Strategically located, Thanh Hoa is 150 km from Hanoi, 199 km from Hai Phong.



The international general port has strong potential for further development. Currently, it features 35 operational piers, buoys, and anchoring areas, totalling 5,343 meters. The port has accommodated vessels with a maximum tonnage of 320,000 tons and is capable of receiving ships up to 100,000 DWT. In 2023, cargo throughput reached 46.1 million tons, with 45.8 million tons handled at Nghi Son Port. Two major shipping lines, CMA-CGM and VIMC, operate international container transport routes from Nghi Son to Europe, the U.S., and Singapore.


The railway runs 103.5 km through Thanh Hoa Province, featuring 10 stations, including two major hubs: Thanh Hoa and Bim Son stations. Additionally, the planned high-speed railway along the North-South axis will span 95.2 km within the province, with construction expected to commence between 2026 and 2030.

This is one of Vietnam's largest and most vital seaports, serving as a crucial gateway for international trade in the northern region. Strategically positioned on the Gulf of Tonkin, it boasts modern infrastructure, deep-water capabilities, and an extensive logistics network. The port can accommodate container vessels of up to 50,000 DWT. Additionally, the Tan Cang - Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) has recently received approval to berth vessels with a maximum draft of 145,000 DWT, further enhancing the port's capacity and trade volume.
