WHA Vietnam Promotes Nghe An Investment Opportunities at Tokyo Conference

WHA highlighted Vietnam’s rapid economic growth, positioning it as one of ASEAN’s fastest-growing economies. With strong foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows bolstering its economic stability, Vietnam has emerged as a key player in the global supply chain network.



Tokyo, Japan – September 20, 2024 – WHA Vietnam, a leading developer of industrial estates and utilities, showcased its investment opportunities at the Nghe An Province Investment Promotion Conference for Japanese companies, held at the ASEAN-Japan Centre in Tokyo. Co-hosted by the ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the event attracted over 40 Japanese businesses interested in exploring investment prospects in Vietnam’s Nghe An Province.



Mr. Bui Thanh An, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An People’s Committee (PPC), delivered the keynote address, highlighting the province’s favorable investment climate. He emphasized Nghe An’s skilled workforce and lower operating costs compared to other regions in Vietnam, making it a prime destination for foreign investment. His remarks set the stage for discussions on investment incentives and opportunities for collaboration between Japanese and Vietnamese businesses.



Ms. Anchalee Prasertchand, Vice President of WHA Industrial Development, presented WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An, detailing its strategic location and cutting-edge infrastructure, covering three main areas:
 • Vietnam’s Economic Growth: WHA highlighted Vietnam’s rapid economic growth, positioning it as one of ASEAN’s fastest-growing economies. With strong foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows bolstering its economic stability, Vietnam has emerged as a key player in the global supply chain network.
 • Nghe An’s Competitive Advantages: The province’s appeal lies in its well-trained, cost-effective labor force and affordable land prices, developing infrastructure and strong support from Nghe An province’s local government, making it a prime location for international investors seeking cost-efficient operations.
• WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An, a smart eco-industrial zone in North Central Vietnam: WHA showcased the industrial zone’s modern infrastructure, which includes a smart eco-industrial park with advanced internal road networks, automated environmental monitoring systems, flood control, and wastewater treatment facilities.


The conference provided a platform for Japanese companies to explore business opportunities and forge potential partnerships, signaling a growing interest in Nghe An as an emerging manufacturing hub in Vietnam.
