Tree-Planting Activity Held at WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An

In order to spread the message of environmental protection and sustainable green development, and to mark the beginning of the 2020 spring season, WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An JSC celebrated Tree Planting Day on February 10. This activity was held following the Dong Nam Economic Zone Authority’s call to build a greener community.  Tree planting is an annual practice initiated by President Ho Chi Minh during the Lunar New Year (Tet).

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Management Board of Dong Nam Nghe An Economic Zone, WHA Industrial Development PLC, WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An JSC and Aska Vietnam Nghe An Co., Ltd.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien, General Director – WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An JSC, and Mr. Bordin Harnvanich, Director - Project Development, WHA Industrial Management Services Vietnam Co., Ltd., addressed the guests during the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An JSC officials emphasized the company’s commitment, as the developer of industrial zones with over 30 years of experience in Thailand, to protect the environment while ensuring sustainable industrial development.  Building an environment-friendly industrial zone is always a top priority for WHA.

Tree Planting festivals have become a common tradition in Vietnam since President Ho Chi Minh called for the protection of ecological environment and natural resources. The participation of WHA Industrial Zone Joint Stock Company, Aska Nghe An Vietnam Company Limited and local authorities during this Tree Planting Day demonstrates the close cooperation among all parties, not only in industrial zone development but also in other sectors.

During the ceremony, WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An announced the launch of the Tree Planting Festival - Spring 2020, where nearly 1,000 trees will be planted within the industrial zone.
